My rent was 1/3 of my take home pay. I paid off student loans until I was 40. I graduated a few years before the dot com bust and 9/11. I get it that times are tough but this idea that older generations had it easy? Pfffft.
Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.”. No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $2,200 for rent and $7 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

I dunno, I’m not that impressed by elite universities. Maybe you’re outrageously smart or maybe you just had a ton of privilege to get you there. These places turn out some truly terrible people that have a stranglehold on political leadership.

Just spent a few days in Hood River with my parents and brother’s family. We had such a great time. We’ll have to photoshop in my brother later cause he went golfing this morning. This pic is at my SIL’s family’s farm right on the river.

Getting my dialysis tunnel line removed today. Wish me luck. Getting it put in was awful as I was barely sedated and could feel everything. They made a note in my file this time. 😬
