My Dad used to say the USA would insert itself into any war if it thought it could get something out of it. Also that their legal system was sloppy. As a man who fought on the D-Day beaches and worked in UK law, he kind of was at the pointy end and knew what he was talking about.

Someone told me today that as soon as you start to make money you become right wing. I had to tell him that's a crock of shit. Not everyone who makes money is a fascist. He said only poor people are left wing because they want everything for free.
