7). Don’t try to force them to accomplish - they will do the goals that they’re passionate about. This exercise is more about them learning how to set annual goals than tiger-dad execution management. Best if they drive accomplishment on their own.

6). Post on the fridge - and keep the goals visible throughout the year. Use family dinners to ask about how they are going. Celebrate any incremental accomplishment.

5). Share your written down version of their ‘goals’ the next day - and discuss w them if that’s what they said. They will tweak a bit. Attempt to breakdown quarterly for them (but this may or may not work).

4). Write it down after the exercise - try not to write it down while they’re visualizing. They’ll break out of their flow.

3). Guide them into areas - while they are imagining the kick-ass future end state - ask them how they visualize school, projects, sports, etc. They will describe what they see and gently apply some way to measure and have them agree. ‘I will sell 4 handmade masks for $40 each’
