You know how when you have a loose hair or eyelash that is stuck somewhere in your peripheral vision and you can’t concentrate until you find where that little stray thing is because it’s so distracting? I think I’d feel like that all the time.

The Apostle Paul: “Avoid such people…, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth.” Gottfried Lessing (higher critic): “the disinterested search for truth is intrinsically preferable to its possession.” h/t Scaer, Christology

What is this bread? Christ’s body risen from the dead: This bread we break, This life we take, Was crushed to pay for our release. O taste and see—the Lord is peace.
@ComeHometoRome Did the bread that Christ broke and blessed in the last supper die in the cross?

Since everyone is sharing baptism theology books today, I highly recommend this one, which is as sharp and witty as it is well-argued and insightful. https://t.co/sCifGXLHM8

I really hate cooking raw chicken. For one thing, I feel like I'm going to die immediately if I make one false move.

@andythegrate @NDisclosed86288 Glad to hear it—unity in truth strengthens us all. Lutheranism's reformation echoes the early church's fidelity to Scripture and sacraments, pruning medieval accretions without discarding the vine. Let's keep proclaiming that gospel clarity amid the noise.

The Lutheran Church is the true church and being outside of it is spiritually dangerous.
Why don't more Confessional Lutherans claim that the Lutheran Church is the true church and being outside of it is spiritually dangerous? I've seen the courageous @GerhardsGhost claim it in his interview with @C2Antiquity. What about other Lutherans out there?

The Bible clearly rejects any form of evolution.

Will has a point, and there’s precedent for it in the Bible too. For instance, when Israel set up a shrine for Asherah to make the Canaanites feel welcome.
@She_Brings_Joy I'm not worried about bigotry per se, but what about love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you? If there's a prayer room in the Vatican for Muslims, it implies Muslims visit. It also implies the Vatican is trying to be hospitable to them. I think that's a good idea.

"You believe the true Body & Blood of Jesus is present?" "Yes, Dave." "And your Confessions say you have the Lord's Supper weekly?" "Yes, Dave." "And there is bread & wine in the sacristy?" "Yes, Dave." "But you only have the Sacrament every other week?" "That's correct, Dave"
