We stopped over in NYC on our way to Rails World and got tickets for Hadestown on Broadway. We didn’t realize it at the time, but it was this cast’s final show together! It was an incredible performance and a very touching final bow.

The currency situation in Japan is insane right now. If you’ve wanted to visit, now is the time. Just ate a full breakfast set at McDonalds for $3.72. Looked up the same meal in the app back in L.A. and it was $10.58.

I’ve been enjoying this publication of the New Testament so much I’ve started packing it in my luggage, even though I have the translation on my iPad and the hotel rooms have a Bible. 😅 On my fourth read through and it just looks and feels great.

Was discussing my upcoming trip to Japan with my kids at dinner last night and mentioned that our general counsel was joining me on the trip. Without missing a beat, my daughter shot back:「Dad, 弁護士は優しいですか？」("Is the lawyer nice?"). Well played, Duolingo.

Let me know if you want an intro to the nutritionist who coached me through this! She’s amazing. It wasn’t particularly hard. I was never hungry. I didn’t count calories. I dined out a lot. Lots of costs involved, but it was a first rate coaching experience and worth it. 📉

Crushed the jet lag, but caught a cold. 🤧 Glad I got through my two speaking commitments before ending up in bed.
Crushed the jet lag from L.A. to Barcelona. Best ever to Europe, maybe. Went to bed at 9 PM PT the two nights before. Took an Ativan on the 11 hour flight at 9 PM PT and slept 6+ hours. Arrived at 4 PM, stayed up until 10 PM, took another Ativan, and slept 8 hours before 9 AM. ✈️.
