I've been at Beeston Forum this evening which meets at 730pm, 1st Thursday of the month at Beeston Village Community Centre. Great to have an update from the police 🚔 team and Bruce from the Basement Arts Project 🎨

This morning I chaired the Corporate Joint Cunsultative Committee, senior LCC HR and union colleagues working together for our residents. Positive but challenging conversations as usual.

At the Infrastructure, Investment and Inclusive Growth Scrutiny Board this morning. We touched on planning issues in the performance report and I raised benchmarking on transparency of the planning process.

Great to be at the monthly TARA for Cardinal Court. Pleased that the 🚔 police 🚔 were in attendance to listen to a couple of concerns.

Today I chaired a 'call in' meeting where a decision by LCC executive board on the pay offer to care providers was challenged. Good debate by people who clearly care!. Ultimately I do believe that we, as a whole society, need to value caring more. Link to papers and video below.

Great to see lines going down for 🏃♀️sports days 🏃♂️at Beeston Primary School (on the way out of a Governors meeting). This is a great example of a green space being shared by the school and the wider community!
