I don't think it's out of the question to hit the panic button on the non-Rudy lineups. Wolves getting outrebounded 40-27. Just not enough offensive efficiency on the floor to justify the defensive negatives that exist

For all of the displeasure out there with Chris Finch, look at the way Julius Randle is playing; enjoy it. Completely different player than he was at this time last year. Playmaking, driving the offense. He's being maximized, and it's a lot of fun. https://t.co/ZneDZnpDLF

Tonight is a nice test of the Timberwolves “continuity” message this offseason. Last year at Target Center was a disaster for a new team: - KAT killed them and made the trade look dead upon arrival - Rudy looked unsure of how to defend with his new teammates - DiVincenzo was

"An exclamation point on a night that should have never happened, against a team that the Wolves should have put away in the first half. How do I know? They showed it in six minutes in the fourth." @andrew_carlson2 recaps another home court disappointment https://t.co/0BpCeoNLON

The Timberwolves came all the way back from down 20 points, just to squander it at the buzzer.

Valiant effort on the comeback, but that’s a terrible loss for the Wolves. They need to get on the same page quickly on defense, or else we’re going to be writing the same story over and over again

The Timberwolves have to limit second chance points to beat this shorthanded Laker team, which means Rudy Gobert HAS to seal off the paint. Has been pretty underwhelming doing so early on here. Has to get better to close this team off. #takeroot

“Our all-defensive guys have to set the tone” Chris Finch pretty direct afterwards on the 3rd quarter defensive lapses

Tonight is the first time the Wolves have been able to string a true run together. Encouraging stuff.

We have a Bones Hyland - Rob Dillingham - Donte DiVincenzo lineup on the floor for the Wolves

Special stretch from Julius Randle and Naz Reid together. The defense with Rudy off the floor is always going to be shaky, but if they can both consistently draw gravity like this, look out https://t.co/dAG66PNJNY

Julius Randle isn't forcing anything. Just taking what the game gives him and it's awesome

Jaylen Clark's entry in to the rotation feels very similar to Nickeil Alexander-Walker's The first bit of action was just to see how/if they could contribute, and made it apparent extremely quick you're not going to want to take them out

Not ideal, but the Wolves should be able to win this one without Anthony Edwards. Don't want to mess around with hamstrings, and a bigger test early on for the Wolves on handling a fast-paced team without their top option

The Timberwolves just cannot afford for Naz Reid to keep having these games this season He needs to be a floor raiser, not a floor contributor
