I’ve only been to France twice and managed to hit that August 2003 heatwave. It was a misery.

My Saturday along St. Clair: Wychwood Farmers Market, gym, Wychwood Library, Heritage Toronto walking tour of Yonge and St. Clair, and then Salsa on St. Clair Festival! 13 km walked, over 30°C all day: I am exhausted and overheated.

Recently I’ve been struggling with perimenopause brain and have been feeling like I’m not performing well but this shows me that management hasn’t noticed.

It would have meant a little bit more money but I don’t want a leadership role and I don’t want to do that work. Maybe I’m not pulling my weight as a senior team member. I can’t be forced to take on higher responsibilities though, I don’t think….

This week, I did something I’ve never done before: I declined the offer of a promotion at work.

Honestly this place is a middle age nightmare but that suits me perfectly. The portrait posters change every night.

AC was blasting at the gym! But it got even hotter later this afternoon. After the gym, I walked 20 mins in the wrong direction to get a delicious cold agua fresca and then walked 35 mins back home (where I do not have AC).

This is pretty hot for June! I’m walking to my gym and can’t remember if there’s AC there or not. That will determine the quality and duration of my 🏋🏻‍♀️
