Matthew 8 presents the the Capernaum healing from afar (vv. 5-13; cf. Luke 7:1-10) as happening before the healings and signs in Mark 1, similar to the second sign of Jesus according to John 5:46-54. Matthew agrees with John's first two signs happening before those in Mark 1.

Matthew 7 concludes the Sermon on the Mount with several culminative themes. And, here’s a book I helped Larry Heitz get into print, developing five principles from the teachings of Jesus as a means of β€œbuilding on the rock.” 😊 https://t.co/Oeh4jru51D

What if the similarities and differences between the four Gospels originated from two followers of Jesus--partners in ministry, traveling and teaching together--who agreed and disagreed with each other (like Peter and John--the second-century view)? https://t.co/nB2dlEIKvi
