I believe I tried four times—the first time, I was Extremely Profesh™️ with links to all my socials, the news announcements, my agency’s website, etc. The second and third time, with even MORE links, including screenshots of emails with my publisher. (tbc)

What you might not know is that it is a hilarious authorial rite of passage to be denied 3 - 5 times 🤣 There are many reasons for this, but the idea is to keep filling out this form over the weeks until a blessed librarian takes pity upon you and extends their scepter. (tbc)

When an author’s book appears on Goodreads, the magical elves (librarians) of said website made it so. Authors then must fill out a form essentially throwing every piece of evidence they have that they are indeed the very same author of the book, and hope to be approved. (tbc)
