Anyway, I just needed to vent because I honestly felt a bit stupid at not realizing what I was getting into. I'll make the most of it and hopefully redirect some resources to communities I think need it. but yeah. wth .#AcademicTwitter.

So now, after thinking about it, I'm feeling pretty uncomfortable perpetuating a program that reinforces these sorts of systemic inequities. And worse, I'm having a really hard time understanding how I could possibly be the first person to feel this way???.

Before grad school, I was working full time at an education center that schools paid hundreds to thousands to visit for field trips to learn the same sort of stuff we're teaching these elite high school kids for free. And most of our educators didn't even have college degrees. .
