Wrote a blog post sharing my Shark Tank journey - all the way from hearing that @KudosToBaby was selected to film just HOURS after my daughter was born, initially saying no, then filming 12 weeks postpartum, to finally getting a deal with Mark and Gwyneth!.

It's definitely been one heck of a journey to get here with lots of ups and downs, but I'm thrilled to share @KudosToBaby has raised another round of funding and we're very excited for this next chapter! .

4 - It’s better to open-source your successes. Sharing supply chain findings can be the tide that lifts all boats. We all want to see less plastic on shelves, and if we can help the industry move toward more plant-based alternatives to plastic, we’re all for it.

3 - Suppliers CAN be convinced with consumer facts. They don’t need to bend for you. So, show them why sustainable materials will sell with consumer research. I even spoke to this at technical industry events to build trust!.

2 - Don’t outsource your key disruption factor. Basically: Work closely with suppliers to 👏 source 👏 your 👏 own 👏 materials. Most companies leave this to the manufacturer, but I was stubborn about using U.S. cotton.

1 - You’ve gotta let one STUBBORN vision be your guide. For us, it was getting as much plastic out of disposable diapers as possible. We let it be our decision maker when partnering with suppliers. No compromising allowed.

4 years ago I didn’t know what EDI was when my friend @soniaswim said she was going to leave Uber to take over her dad’s EDI company. Now four years later, our teams are working together! So cool to get to be a customer of your bestie’s company.

Mom: Why haven't you started potty training Avni (my 21 month old daughter) yet? We potty trained you at 18 months. Me: We have lots of R&D going on. I need an in-house diaper tester. That'll be a fun one to explain when she's older.

What is this cool new technology!? Loved seeing this automated drum at the temple!

tl;dr: Always check your units! . I got two quotes for a new trial material. One was significantly cheaper and I went with it. I just realized the cheaper quote was in $/sqy and the other was in $/sqm. We ended up spending $7K more because of a one letter difference- units!!!.

There is one interview question that tells me more about a candidate than any other. "Tell me why I shouldn't hire you.". The best candidates show introspection and the ability to think beyond the cliché - "I'm a perfectionist.".

Just boarded a flight from MEM to ATL and the lady in front of me is using @KudosToBaby on her kiddo! First time, I'm running into someone I don't know at an airport using our diapers - how cool! Thanks Jacqueline for making my day❤️
