Saw Fantastic Four again, this time in IMAX. Its no perfect movie but is a heartfelt and sometimes breathtakingly beautiful one.

I'm over the moon we finally have word of Darksiders 4 .

Pound for pound perhaps MGS3 but as far as my personal biases, Id prob give it to Half Life 2. Doom 3 is an all time favorite, Kotor 2 is sensational, Thief Deadly Shadows is wonderful, and Riddicks one of the best movie tie ins ever.

Robocop 2's final sequence just a perfect encapsulation of why the 80s rocked, with amazing stop motion mixed with live actors and somehow getting the lighting/reflections to work well together. I guess that's the magic of storyboarding too.

Was today years old when I realized Frank Miller co-wrote Robocop 2 AND that's probably why I recognized his little cameo as the scientist cowering as corrupt cops break in. Nice!.

The part in Robocop 2 where he is way overcalibrated to minor offenses and lets actual criminals off with corny platitudes is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Whoever said Stallone cant act hasnt seen the end of First Blood. Powerful emotion there. So good that terrible ending song that plays shortly after cant undo it.

As much as I liked the Fantastic Four First Steps movie, it's not the best paced thing. Watching Robocop and Rambo this week, I'm really impressed with how tightly these are paced and edited. They don't shortcut much of anything but what you'd reasonably assume already.
