My goal for this year is to play frisbee 75 times and lift 75 times. I'm starting a bit late because of surgery recovery.
League went much better than I thought it would! Honestly the hardest part was struggling to breathe and forgetting my inhaler...
Ulti 2/75
I remembered my inhaler, but I forgot to put contacts in. Luckily I had an extra pair in my bag. Playing went really well last night though, and I feel like in the last few points of the game I was finally getting my frisbee energy back. Slow but steady progress 💪

Hat tournament at my first High Tide. Playing was fun, I didn't get hurt, but my team was full of a bunch of college boys who named our team the "blue ballers".
Frisbee was an experience, but celebrating with my old college team was top tier. A top 10 birthday overall

I played on the 'olds' point at high tide, oof. Playing with college kids is really humbling sometimes.
My nutrition this week is tanking... I miss how much my club team prioritizes body health and recovery foods. Beer doesn't help with recovery when you are over 22 lol

Got Thai food last night and I'm feeling better about nutrition today. I leaned into the party aspect of high tide more today which was sweet. Overall really enjoying high tide and the amount of 6-9 final scores

Final day of high tide, final time playing with my college team. I really loved this experience, and I'm so happy I got to have one last hoorah with these goofballs

Last day of winter league, my team won overall spirit! Ignore the 1-9 record, that isn't important.
No frisbee planned for the next few weeks, so I am gonna try to get back into the gym and lift a bit. Build a routine

Frisbee was the thing I needed to get my mind off absurd stressors last night. Did I play like shit? Yes. But there's just something about chasing plastic that makes anxiety disappear.
I am really excited for leagues and club to start back up, this break has been long

We tried to get some mini going, but only ended up with 5 people. But hey, double disc and a fun box game made yesterday feel like it was enough to count as a day of ulti. After 3 straight days of workouts, I'm ready to take an off day on Friday

This has been a tough week. But hey, frisbee last night was really fun even if I played like shit and my body was sabotaging me. Having asthma during the summertime SUCKS, thanks COVID...

Women's league week one! My team started out very out of sync, but we got into a groove and we were playing really well with each other! I was feeling very slow having come off a sickness, but oh well.

So much frisbee yesterday in such different weather conditions. "Mixed" in hail, then women's in 50 degrees and wind. Overall it was a great day and definitely what I needed to start finding joy again.

DUFL Spring Pod week 2, but my first week. Wow it is so much more competitive than I expected. Not a bad thing, but also my preseason body and lungs, mostly lungs are not ready for this lol

A2 Women's League. We played one combined game of 7s due to numbers, and while I was nervous we had too many subs, but it was actually received really well! Also I think I unlocked better pulling, because I got two pulls deep into the end zone with a ton of float

It sucked! I got super light headed and my vision went a little black a few times on long cuts. I ended up leaving at halftime to go get my inhaler from my apartment because it just wasn't safe to be running.
