As I was going on stage at a recent event, a man approached me saying he was my cousin. During our conversation he handed me a silk parachute brought back from New Holland by my grandfather in 1945. It's unmarked, but seems to be a Japanese cargo parachute for dropping supplies.

If anybody was wondering, the boy who was shot through the lungs was named Peter Vogelsang. Looks like he survived!

Benjamin Henry Latrobe, born in Yorkshire 1764, he was educated by Moravians in both England & Germany. At 18 he joined the Prussian Army, and by 39 he was made Architect of the Capitol by Pres. James Madison! By 56 he was dead in New Orleans. His watercolors are wonderful.
