Few months later and it’s ready to harvest. Mediocre yielder and lodged like crazy (over half the stem snapped off prior to this) …but hey, it’s pretty!

Growing my first wheat crop this year (a whopping 50 seeds in a cut flower garden). It’s a 100+ year old European variety with a niche market in the floral and design world. For kicks, I calculated what a bushel would cost… $80,990. Makes canola seed seem like a bargain!

Thought I knew plants, but there's always more to learn. The white snapdragons on the left were once the same colour as the right. Placing them near a fruit bowl with bananas caused them to fade—turns out ethylene exposure does that! #UnintentionalExperiment
