Back then Dalkey, Sun & Moon, and FC2 were holding the line. RCF devoted an issue to Daitch, DFW, and Vollmann. Vollmann was the FC2 judge who selected Lost Scrapbook. These books were what DFW and Franzen were trying to overcome. This is what the process generates and erases.
