🏡 NEW HOME ALERT! 🚨We just rescued a Scaptotrigona mexicana hive that was living on a trunk that fell down because of the heavy rains on the jungle. 👀 This is a very common situation and we are grateful that we could spot the hive on time. The procedure was the following:

🥷🏿GUARDIANS 🌧️ Rainy season often brings many challenges to stingless bees. The most common challenge is the fight against the Phorid fly. 🪰 Phorid flies are known to be pests of stingless bee colonies. They thrive on rainy season and if they find access to a hive they lay

@aluxeprojects 34 bee attractors were placed in the jungle before flowering season. Initial monitoring shows: 4 attractors inhabited by Euglossa viridissima bees. 4 attractors show signs of being inhabited. 7 attractors inhabited by ants, but may eventually attract bees. 18

🚨ATTRACTORS UPDATE! ✨After placing our 34 bee-attractors in different sites of the jungle, we did our first monitoring to see if they have already been inhabited… 🗺️ Following the strategy guided by our local allies and biologists, the attractors needed to be set before

Seeds harbor more than just a plant's genetic future – they are living capsules that transmit not only genetic material, but entire communities of microorganisms from one plant generation to the next. This process, known as microbial inheritance, is deepening our understanding
