Two EA-18 Growlers here. One in CAG livery although the modex doesn't indicate CAG numerals. Both birds have ALQ-218 pods on wing tips & ALQ-99 hi-lo jammer on centerline stations. Bird on runway has Next Gen Mid Band jammer. The CAG bird has ALQ-99 high band jammer & AGM-88E.
Venom (UH-1Y), Harrier (AV-8B), Growler (EA-18G) and F-35 Lightning II aircraft active at the former Roosevelt Roads naval base, Ceiba, Puerto Rico. @reuterspictures @Reuters

Fennec & Cobras in nap of earth flights here literally kicking dust off during flight. Dare devil pilots as it needs good pilot skill to avoid all sort of obstacles that can hit your rotors & airframe. Purpose is to approach targets undetected, attack & disappear using terrain.

Only a letter of intent to boost defense partnership. No defense agreement. UAE is trying to test waters and see Saudi reaction. UAE reportedly wanted a defense pact with Pakistan, similar to KSA, but Pakistan denied.

These exercises are mostly modeled around Red Flag with the objectives to unify the concept of multi domain air operations in extreme electronic warfare environment. PAF will be bringing alot to the table for participating nations to learn.

Extremely cool media coming out of Dhahran KSA. PAF participating in exercise Spears of Victory 2026 with IL-76 MRTT & Viper B-52 C/Ds.

MBU-12 paired with JHMCS gives the most lethal look. Now standard issue across the fleet is MBU-20.
F-16s of the PAF's No. 11 "Arrows" Squadron over central Punjab. Reminiscent of a time when Sargodha was home to all the F-16s in the PAF's inventory. Just look at the MBU-12 mask. It remains one of my favourite piece of kit as it reminds me of the menacing cold war look. Today,

Its important to note here that militaries also depend on the intelligence input from their espionage services along with their own systems of verification. Sometimes all of the above factors converge to give very high indications of aerial BVR kills.

Then you have passive sensors like FLIR or EO sensing pods that will allow the pilot to see flash of high intensity explosion caused by missile impact at night. But this is often limited by weather & distance. The range itself gets reduced significantly during day time.

...the missile. And if the missile goes silent at predicted intercept range & time then system marka it as a high probability kill.

Then you have confirmation from your missile itself as its two way data linked & sends its terminal status of impact, miss or target loss. Normally when the missile gets active then it is in its no escape zone from where the target aircraft cannot outmanoeuvre...

The other technique is fragmentation track. This happens when a single radar return abruptly changes into multiple short returns at the same spot which points to disintegration & fragmentation of aircraft. The debrie cloud is picked up by radar & is strong indication of a splash.

...might not always result in total aircraft disintegration but they become incapable of continuing their flight. This is what results in the above anomaly.

...then the pilot and sensor fusion system register that as a high probability kill. The reason for such a radar return characteristic is that missiles are equipped with proximity sensors which do not kinetically hit the target but they go off in its close proximity which...

The very first technique is the radar track and tracking correlation of both pre and post launch radar tracks which are compared. If the radar blip disappears or shows rapid anomaly like sharp speed reduction or extreme decent at predicted intercept time and location...

In a beyond visual range combat, visual verification of kills become impossible but still there are some solid ways to confirm a successful hit which often results in dramatic change in targets radar signature.🧵
@MetalFirefly @The_SharkSlayer @BrahMosSpeaks I heard by analyzing radar data. Like object vanishing within a certain area ( that was locked and fired at). Radar guys can tell better. ISPR reveled tail number, it's IAF job to showcase those and prove ISPR wrong

This t@ttay ki shakal wala khot@ see a new wet dream daily. The reality is that after Delhi blast they were even afraid of taking our name. The way PAF turned IAF into a rocket force in a single engagement sent a clear message that cost will be imposed on Rundians. FAFO bicxh.
If Pak persists with terror in JK, next BrahMos could be down the chimney of GHQ Rawalpindi. Field Marshal Asim Munir knows that.

Then most of sensors and optronics are mounted forward on helmet changing its center of gravity. All of this plays its part during high speed flight when pilots have to look outside. Although new modern HMDs are designed keeping weight reduction in mind as well.

From RIAT 25 archive. You might be wondering why the pilot isn't wearing his HMD. Well pilots dont wear them when its not necessary cuz HMDs are heavy & their prolonged use put strain on neck muscles. Normally a head weighs around 5kg & HMD adds 1.5kg more weight.

January 1983 it was when the viper became the guardian of the people of Indus. 43 years it have been and we are looking forward to more 🤟

And J20 became the foundation for J36. Maybe after 10 or so years we'll see similar footage of J36 prototype as well. By that time Chinese would already be spearheading in more sophisticated technologies. Nations take pride in their hard work. Massive respect 🇵🇰❤️🇨🇳
