when i can’t bring myself to work, i find what i like in other pieces. i take note of common threads. if you are looking to be satisfied, i’m afraid i don’t have an answer for you. a part of art’s beauty is always wanting to make something more, something bigger.

create for yourself. art is an inherently competitive study, but that is why new artists enjoy themselves so much. they don’t worry about others. i’m rarely satisfied with my work. paintings are never truly finished. just like life, art changes as your eye for it does.

i’ll be boarding a ship soon. it’s headed for a port in piltover. can’t say i’ve ever left ionia proper, but there’s a first for everything.

what colors do you associate with your feelings? to “feel blue” is so widely expressed as a negative, but who decided this? blue can be calm, serene. blue can be warm if you truly want it to be.

another night of camping. i’ve learned to be more courteous of people i don’t know very well.

i see a lot of memories. things significant in my life, but distorted. feelings i’d rather not relive. rooms melting, waves swallowing, lights watching. it’s odd — i feel more under watch within the confines of my own mind than i do in the halls of my temple. (2/2)

nightmares are commonplace for me, unfortunately. even when i was little, i saw things very vividly. it’s a great asset as an artist, but frustrating in many other aspects of life. it’s rare for me to get a good night’s sleep these days, especially since leaving my home. (1/2)
