This list is obviously not an exhaustive list, but, hopefully, it helps those who've had moments of feeling hopeless over the last few days (like me) feel a bit more empowered. 17/n

The fight for reproductive rights cannot be siloed from other social justice issues that unequally restrict access to resources & care, define the ways in which individuals make decisions about their health care and their futures, and expose individuals to multiple forms… 15/

7. And remember, protecting Roe is the bare minimum. So many people already don’t have access to safe, affordable abortions & other reproductive health care. 14/

This means that if Republicans take back Congress, they may be able to impose restrictive abortion policies in DC even if they cannot pass those same restrictive policies for the entire country. 12/

6. Push for #DCstatehood. Congress technically has full legislative authority over DC & can even use appropriation bills to impose DC-specific policies. 11/

4. Relatedly, VOTE & get involved in the mid-term elections. It's likely WHCPA won't pass this session. That doesn't negate #3, above, but it does mean that Dems need to keep the House & grow their majority in the Senate in the mid-terms to affect change moving forward. 8/

3. Call on your state senators & representatives to vote for the Women's Health Care Protection Act (WHCPA), which codifies the constitutional right to abortion. While you're at it, call on them to eliminate the filibuster, which is likely the only way WHCPA will pass. 6/

1. Know that this ruling is not final. That means that if you, or someone you know, needs an abortion, you can still access abortion care in all states (though, obviously, restrictions vary). 2/
