Not looking my complete best but me and my daughter alive thanks to the NHS, both of us have had major heart surgeries and wouldn’t be here without it. Now I’m proud to work in the NHS #HappyBirthdayNHS @SteveBarclay @Leic_hospital

Whilst this was going on I had to take my 14month old for her 5th heart surgery. Alone. My husband was not allowed in. 4 hour surgery was 8 hours in the end. Alone and terrified at the delay I did not know if she was alive. This nurse stuck to the rules!! @BorisJohnson.

Just remembering the 13 little souls I have encountered, that haven’t been able to go home with their parents in the 3 years I have had my daughter. My amazing colleagues @PICULeicester made it possible for my diva newborn to become a healthy stroppy toddler. Always grateful
