Judge Brent A. Ecenbarger was sworn in today as Allen Superior Court's newest Judge. He was sworn in by Judge Lori K. Morgan, Administrative Judge in Superior Court's Family Relations Division. Judge Ecenbarger will serve as presiding Judge at the Allen County Juvenile Center.

Allen Circuit and Superior Courts will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day.

Due to an air conditioning failure over the weekend, the Court’s Misdemeanor & Traffic Division will be closed today (Monday, July 28). Any court proceedings that were scheduled to occur today will be rescheduled.

Since this scam and others like it seem to be back with a vengeance lately, we have added a page to the Allen Superior Court web site summarizing the most common scams and what to do if you receive one.

Two things that identify the messages as a scam are the phone number they come from. The example came from a phone number in the Philippines. The web site address they send you to LOOKS like the Indiana BMV address, a .gov address, but it actually ends in .icu. (2/3)
