Thanks for the reply, Conor. A driver has arrived. 15 hours after I first broke down. Obviously I shall be cancelling my 20 year+ RAC membership as soon as I get home and giving @TheAA_UK a ring.

No Iām not. Itās now been 15 hours since I broke down. Still no truck. I was just talked over by an operator who told me why I was āa priorityā and a truck would be dispatched when it ābecame availableā. Oh and @RAC_Care ignore every one of these messages. Mind blowing.

Hi @TheRAC_UK @RAC_Care. I've been waiting to be picked up from a motorway breakdown for 7 hours. Your operators don't seem to know what is going on. Or say trucks have been dispatched when they haven't. Is this normal? Is this my life now? Waiting for the truck that never comes?.

Oops. Just noticed the repeat of the word factory. It was a factory. Made sunbeds at one point. At least there was a huge pile of them in the basement. Brutal things from the early 80s that could give you a melanoma from 100 yards.

After we stopped using it, it was used by artists as studio space for a while until one of the staircases collapsed when some people were carrying some industrial sewing machines up them. Or at least thatās the story I heard.

I remember the landlord. He owned most of the block from what I remember. Not a bad guy, just completely lost and out of his depth. Didnāt know what to do with the buildings and didnāt have the funds either. He let us do what we wanted there in return for patching up the windows.

This is a great architectural loss to Glasgow. I have a particular connection to this building, as just behind it is the old factory where @Franz_Ferdinand put on our first events in an old factory we called The Chateau. We used to enter it via this building sometimes.
India Buildings on Bridge Street has had a roof collapse, destabilising the faƧade. Neighbouring residents have been evacuated. Demolition is sadly inevitable now. Just been on site. I'm working with Council officers to try to save the carved pediment and chimneys from the roof.
