One year ago today I completed a journey I poured my all into for a decade. For the first time I began the workday officially on Team Xbox. Don’t be too hard on yourself, keep going.
I used to ride the train to work reading Xbox Wire dreaming of crafting content worthy of Xbox. Today, I have my first Xbox Wire byline. It's possible, take it from a kid from the South Bronx.

Hi, I’m Albert. I’m a Content PM and social lead for Xbox. In a non traditional sense, I work with various teams to support game features and updates in the form of educational and informative UI text + audiovisual content. A product of the Bronx.

What a difference a year makes. 1 year ago I completed my final non-team Xbox project — Help launch the Series X|S. I typed “One day” on my Surface Duo notes. Big thanks to Phil for believing in my vision. This day is special. Happy Birthday Series X|S!

What I looked like when GTA V came out vs now
2013: Worked at NBC on the weekdays, on my bachelor’s degree at night, and had a weekend gig as an Xbox sales rep via an outsourced company at Best Buy. My dream was to be on team Xbox.
2023: Most recent work trip to HQ last month.
From day one I treated each day like Game 7, now it’s Year 7 at Microsoft. I’m proud to be part of Team Xbox and work to power dreams for gamers through educational and lifestyle content. Thank you for believing in a kid from the Bronx.
It takes a team. I truly appreciate my Xbox NYC colleagues working day in and out to impact gaming and our community. Thanks to our special visitor for stopping by.
From the start you believed in a kid from retail and that was everything. I came to know Larry, but Major Nelson was every bit of the legend I envisioned growing up. Thank you for everything you’ve done for the game.
After 20 incredible years, I have decided to take a step back and work on the next chapter of my career. As I take a moment and think about all we have done together, I want to thank the millions of gamers around the world who have included me as part of their lives. (1/3)
Hi new followers, I’m Albert. I’m an Xbox Content PM and Support Social Lead with a love for gaming fashion and lifestyle. It’s my mission to spread the joy of gaming striving to make positive impact through it for others as many in the industry did for me. Game on.
Seth Rollins is the MVP. He sacrificed everything to help slay the monster he helped create. Failing to win on Night 1 then lost his title to start Night 2, he returned as his Shield version falling to the symbolic chair shot he delivered that was key in age of the Tribal Chief.

Colleague: Happy six years Al! Tell us another MSFT story we don’t know.
Me: I’m on the shelf.
Colleague: The shelf? Tell the story!
Me: Well, let’s get to work
Colleague: The story?!
Some say I’m among the most fly in the game.
Some say I’m some guy from the Bronx.
I’m Albert, a Content PM at Xbox. I’m a scriptwriter, video producer, and social lead.

Some days I think I became built for this. Once a year, I sometimes think that maybe, just maybe, I was born for this. Happy birthday
@Microsoft
and I.
Four years ago today we launched the then world’s most powerful console in NYC. In the same night I shoutcasted, demoed, was interviewed, competed, and shared moments with our fans. Happy 4th anniversary, Xbox One X!

Congratulations and happy 5th anniversary Sea of Thieves. Half a decade of fostering and supporting a community of an amazing game. Thanks for granting this kid his first (impromptu) industry interview all those years back. The feeling was the biggest treasure I'll ever turn in
