SB 50 passed out of the Ohio House yesterday. It would allow employers to schedule kids ages 14 and 15 as late as 9pm, beyond the 7pm limit set by federal law. Child labor is not the solution to adult workforce issues. Tell the governor to veto SB 50:

The Ohio legislature wants to give $600,000,000to help a billionaire build a new sports stadium. And *checks notes* $50 to your public school kid. Under the budget proposal more than half of public school districts will ONLY get an increase of $50/student over the biennium.

Two of Ohio’s neighbors provide case studies in addressing the childcare crisis. KY funds free childcare for childcare workers, while MI’s Tri-Share splits the cost btwn parents, employers, & state. I compared costs & outcomes, & there’s a clear winner. https://t.co/OX3kN6x0cu

The largely unchecked chaos at the federal level plus the Ohio legislature’s unhealthy fixation on tax cuts for the wealthiest could end healthcare coverage for 700,000 Ohioans. This year. More than 1/4 of Ohioans get their healthcare through Medicaid. https://t.co/1TDA2JtMLX

The House Republican budget released today by Budget Committee Chair Jodey Arrington is an extreme giveaway to the wealthy at the expense of families who already have a hard time making ends meet.

Fellow white ppl who care about immigrants: ICE has been working in (and “sighted” in) most major cities this whole time. You just weren’t paying attention. Please do not cause panic because you saw an ICE vehicle driving on the highway or like - parked at ICE office building.
