🇩🇪 Wowza! The German BfArM just updated the 2024 import numbers for medical cannabis flower. Over 72 metric tonnes imported in total, with almost 32 tonnes in Q4 alone. Canada is still the top exporter to Germany by far, with Portugal a clear second and Denmark third.

It just happened! Germany just made it easier to research adult-use cannabis. The Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) is now in charge of approving and overseeing research projects. Both universities and businesses can apply, as long as they meet certain criteria.
Die BLE wird per Verordnung zuständige Behörde, um Forschungsanträge im Bereich Konsumcannabis und Nutzhanf zu prüfen und Forschungsprojekte zu begleiten. Der Bundestag hatte dem BMEL die Aufgabe übertragen, eine zuständige Stelle zu benennen. Mehr ⬇️.
