Todoist Ramble is coming to mobile. I'm highly biased and very excited, because this feels like a next-gen AI interface that isn't just a chatbox. Imagine a world where AI is no longer a selling point, but woven into everything. We'll have much smarter tools that handle all the

When even the marketing images look off, something’s up. Maybe it’s part of the process. Or maybe design leadership or development is missing a beat. Either way, they’re experimenting and that’s worth something. And it shows their designers are just humans after all.

My take:.Apple’s trying something bold and different which is a step toward a modern, unified design language. But this release feels rushed. Too many visual missteps, poor contrast, and readability issues that don’t feel like Apple.

👁️ Content-focus: Apple keeps mentioning in their marketing that in the new design “content shines,” and in some places it does. But liquid glass often feels distracting, overly detailed, and cluttered. Just look at small app icons like Photos. It looks more blurry than magical.

🔍 Search is finally treated right: No more hiding behind a swipe in a navigation bar. The magnifying glass is a globally established metaphor in the bottom tab bar and hence doesn’t need a text label. The new fluid system design enables this, and it’s a smart move.

👆🏼Bigger tap targets: Liquid glass components emphasize touch areas, which likely helps with accessibility. That said, buttons now often feel too loud, especially on macOS. Apple needs to find a better balance.

📱 Consistent icon language: For the first time, icons feel unified across platforms. Familiar apps are easier to recognize and to build. The UI still needs to catch up, though.

Since everyone’s dragging iOS 26 and Liquid Glass, here are a few things I actually liked about Apple’s latest software update 🧵.

One looks like a grown up, sleek and clean UI, the other like a blurry mess made by a design intern who hasn’t learned all design principles yet.

Using iOS 26 is like pulling your phone out of a freezer, dunking it in water, and trying to read hieroglyphs from a broken screen. Looks cool, works terribly. I hope they’ll fix this.

Every product that incorporates AI features simply slapped them to its UI, adds a chat button or icon in every corner. This approach isn’t effective and results in a Frankenstein product. Those who integrate AI seamlessly and invisible in context win. That’s the challenge.
