The problem with AI as currently envisaged is that it is a centralising force, winner takes all. For those with VC today, fine, thats your story, but for the sake of humanity we do need to decentralise.

Plot twist: we're all actually in a VR simulation but it's actually the distant future, and this is just a tourist attraction so you can relive the Singularity in first POV and once it happens we'll all wake up a few thousand years into the future and our memory will be restored.

Gonna be a debate between "hidden jem" and "sound & light show" as my most feared phrases in sightseeing. Went to a 1 million USD sound and light show at a local attraction yesterday (son learning about Tudors), OMG. AI can do this 1000x better.
