What money from cancelled Xmas parties? They’re going ahead ( they’ll soon be compulsory). Anyone cancelling loses their deposit which the establishment keeps and the rest is their own money.

Why respond??...we pay millions towards economic migrants fleeing "war-torn" France. Why don't you house some of them then you can feel really humane!!

Because he was saying that refugees should be dealt with by charities instead of by government and funded privately. Watch the clip and it sounds different from the meme.
