By process of elimination, she has to be talking about the OT. Few consider the prequels to be the best trilogy, and those who do don't consider TPM to be the best one. So, she must be talking about the OT as that's the only case where "one being the best" works in both contexts

The FTC case (thanks @FOSSpatents for the updates) reminds me how fluid the word "competition" is. So much debate and I'm getting cold-sweats thinking about how often we talked about it. You can be accurate to very narrowly define it OR broaden it, depending on the circumstance.

Maybe my favorite thing I've ever done was taking my 8yo to see RotJ in a Theatre. She's never seen a Star Wars movie on the big screen (watched the OT at home), and what a great flick that still holds up IMO. She was snuggling with me and asking questions and life is the best.

So great job #StarTrekPicard team for figuring out how to make a fun season *and* a great send-off to TNG actors and fans. Which only furthers my disappointment in the Star Wars sequels for not figuring out how to do the same thing...

I appreciate the temptation modern showrunners have to deconstruct beloved characters, or surprise the audience with some twist - but in case like this, where logistically you're not going to get these people together again - just give the audience what they want.

... Introduce some new characters who are likeable, and will carry on in the future, while tying up a bunch of story threads, throwing out easter-eggs, and giving the fans (and the characters) a satisfying last ride.

Finished #StarTrekPicard Season 3. Didn't watch the first 2, and was sort of a casual TNG fan. I really liked what they did and wish the ST prequels had done the same thing - have a simple but interesting plot, which is basically structured to get everyone in the same place...

About halfway through last nights #Mandalorian finale, my wife says "this might be the best Star Wars thing I have ever seen" and oh boy was she right. The ending was perfect and while I'd love to see a Season 4, I'd also be satisfied if this was the series finale.
