The quotes are so stupid. I love and read so many f/f ships but ao3 is not an algorithm or a social media website. Use the filters. Read what you wanna read. Write what you wanna write, especially if you like it and feel it’s underrepresented.
the ao3 archive was not built to protect media representation for women, or anyone for that matter. it was built specifically to host wincest omegaverse without having it immediately taken down, and the creators were nice enough to let all the other fandom sickos join in.

sure, continuity is a bitch but keep in mind that there are also times changing an idea serves the story more and always sticking to the original idea wouldn't make it as satisfying. if the creator changed it, they probably saw it as more worth it to have instead.

however, alien stage is an indie project that gets released bit by bit and there's bound to be retcons or inconsistencies. writing is a process where it constantly gets redone and tried again and again. stories are almost never the first draft.

not sure if people realise but stories tend to retcon shit as the creators come up with ideas they like more. movies have the grace of being able to go back to get rid of things that wouldn't make sense with retcons bc they have the grace of being released all at once
I would've wanted the typical ending we were continuously being hinted towards! But ALNST had a horrible habit of repeatedly retconning writing decisions and I'm exhausted lol.
