Everyone interested in Global Health should be required to read the Foreign Gaze by Seye Abimbola. He creates really powerful distinctions between knowledge that empowers versus knowledge that reproduces colonial hierarchies.

This winter, I interned with Dr. @DeboOdulana at Cedarcrest Hospital, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience in hospital operations, patient care, and process improvement. I can't wait to continue my fellowship with Cedarcrest this summer! #healthadministration

I read Purple Hibiscus when I was 9, and it ignited my love for storytelling. @ChimamandaReal words transcend time and borders, weaving tales that resonate deeply and universally. Not all heroes wear capes, but I had the profound honor of meeting mine 💗

I had the pleasure of attending UNGA & Forbes Best of Africa this weekend. It was such a surreal moment meeting @DrMairoMandara who I worked with as a @DOWAfrica_ORG admin intern in 2020 & 2021. I’m so grateful to be in spaces to emulate people doing such impactful work.

Regardless of the financial situation a student was born into, a dilapidated school is no place for anyone to learn. To optimize learning, schools must be conducive spaces that create a sense of comfort and safety for its students.

It’s not the bad situations you should fear. Those are fairly easy to discern. It’s the medium good ones. The ones that have the potential to have a good outcome. We often stay far too long hoping for a change when we knew from the start it wasn’t ideal.
