We had a seven year old who asked to join our community class today. She doesn't love school. I've told her to take this into school to show her teacher. We're learning to love learning.

When I left the house this morning at 5am it was lashing with rain, very windy and SO cold. It's still cold but what a difference! 💛

Today at our Engaged Scholarship Hub in the East End of Glasgow, we are starting a new community project on The Lungs. We'll focus on science and physical activity when we eventually teach local children, but first, we need to build up our own knowledge.

Thank you @EALGlasgow for finding the placements and believing in our vision about what our international students bring with them to school. This is the next generation of English teachers for #Oman 🇴🇲. We are @StrathEDU 🌟🌟🌟.

The students have supported learning in English and Arabic. They have translated for parents and taught Arabic to teachers in their placement schools. They have had high expectations and created strong relationships in the EAL departments where they worked.

Today we are celebrating Eid AND the last class for our #StrathEdTESOL students. These young men have supported young people in schools across Glasgow to learn and develop since October. We have been amazed at their progress and proud of their resilience.

We are so grateful to our friends at STEP for inviting two students to represent @StrathEDU every year at the annual conference. They have been doing this for around ten years and we really appreciate it.

Five years ago today, we left work and didn't go back to campus full time for TWO AND A HALF YEARS!! We had no idea. We thought we were going home for a week!!!.

I'm teaching my 'rest of the world' #StrathiPGCE class tonight and we are making paper aeroplanes. I promise you that online teaching about assessment criteria is much enhanced by trying to get a paper aeroplane to fly towards the camera in our Zoom class!!!.

Yes, that's me giving hankies to the loud sniffer in our train carriage. There was a lot to be said for being taught in the Brownies to carry a hankie at all times. #SniffingCommuters .#thedrawbacksofcommuting.
