Cate Campbell throwing down world class relay splits in celebrity relays after two surgeries and a year off … dare we dream seeing her and Sarah race one last time in LA?.

At her most physically vulnerable, Mckeown used the bit above her shoulders and got it done. Not sure Australia has ever produced a more clinical swimmer in individual competition (her relays are the only blot - an inverse Cate Campbell).

Oh man Kaylee what a head on those shoulders. Utterly utterly locked in when it matters.

The fact we are racing toward multiplexing agents suggests we have hit the local maximum on LLMs. It’s all incremental from here.

Whose idea was it to put nine-time #LeMans winner Tom Kristensen behind the wheel of the #Ferrari F399? Because we can't thank them enough! The Dane made full use of the Maranello-made 3.0-litre V10 at his disposal and we can't wait to see both legends back in action over the

I’d be ok with Horner ending up at Ferrari.

Zed is a lovely editor, they do need to work on the text rendering. Even on Mac, it's noticeably worse than other editors. We've gotten used to amazing typography so the bar is high now.

From my experience frontend debugging in claude code with puppeteer is about the only working way. Cursor just runs itself in circles the more context you give it.

Using gemini cli inside of claude code is so good.

PHP is going to struggle with the cultural move to strong declare(strict_types=1) typing. The trait implementation, in particular, just doesn't work with it. It's come a long though way though, given the bones it's all hanging off.

A very good take that matches my experience so far. Proper AGI will be different but doesn’t look like that’s on the cards, we’re just riding the productisation wave of transformer technology.

Yes. A few miscellaneous thoughts. (1) First, the new bottleneck on AI is prompting and verifying. Since AI does tasks middle-to-middle, not end-to-end. So business spend migrates towards the edges of prompting and verifying, even as AI speeds up the middle. (2) Second, AI.

"There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things.". One of the unheralded things about LLMs is that naming things is a lot easier.

Rust is I think the more unforgiving language but it’s compiler much better at helping you figure out what’s wrong. Swift has a lovely flow but the compiler expects you to be a savant.

State of AI right now, claude, set up a stub project, I want env, mysql and REST deps. Ok here we go. (Downgrades go 1.24 to 1.21.1, sets dependency versions from 2023). Claude: update deps to latest. Ok, searching for mysql 2024. Sigh. This isn't AI it's super copy pasta.
