Why is unintended pregnancy so common in your 40s? The answer has to do with all the weirdness that comes with perimenopause, and (surprise!) the lack of information most of us get about this stage: https://t.co/A1chqu3JnG via @TheAtlantic

Tori didn’t have to die and her death is a tragic reminder of the abysmal maternal death rates in this county. Maternal mortality continues to kill women across the country at alarming rates and Black women are more likely to die than any other group in this country. #momnibus

Abortion is healthcare. We are now seeing the rippling effects of abortion bans and not allowing physicians to do their jobs.
Bonner General Health in rural Sandpoint, Idaho, is shuttering its obstetrics unit after almost 75 years, noting the “legal and political climate” in a state where trigger laws banned nearly all abortions after the fall of the constitutional right to them.

On the 50th anniversary of Roe v Wade, it is important to recognize that abortion saves lives, and that these bans disproportionately affect black and indigenous individuals. Reproductive freedom is a fundamental human right.
Women in states with abortion bans are nearly three times more likely to die during pregnancy, childbirth or soon after giving birth, according to a report from the Gender Equity Policy Institute.
