With the start of fall semester coming soon, it seems worthwhile to repost this. My only regret is that I might have toned down the sarcasm a bit (see #7). Also, with the rise of dual enrollment at high schools, point 15 might not always apply.

#Jerusalem's medieval history has been less prominent than its ancient or modern, but that's where essential elements for claims to the #WesternWall and #TempleMount can be found. Check them out in my recent book with @yalepress.

My undoubtedly very boring post on encyclopedia editing, which will likely only appeal to the smallest audience possible (academics interested in encyclopedia production). As a result, I tried to jazz it up a bit with humor, but probably failed.

Finally received my copies of the encyclopedia from the publisher (Bloomsbury Academic) today, a project I have been working on for a few years now (Covid and the closing of the universities, sickness of contributors, reorganization of the publisher, etc. slowed things down

For anyone interested, each paperback in the series is only $20. We tried to keep the price down to make them appealing for use in the classroom.

I am happy to announce that the sixth book in the Hackett Myths of History series (link in comments) has made it to print. This time we have scholars Jonathan Daly and Leonid Trofimov's "Seven Myths of the Russian Revolution." Seeing them develop this fine book was a privilege.

My essay for Professor John D. Hosler's recent book, Seven Myths of Military History. It considers the claim that religion is the cause of most wars and argues it is a myth. Thoughtful feedback is welcome.
