(1/2) Today, I had the honor of opening a crucial @NCRIsom led consultation on issuing ID cards to refugees and asylum seekers in Somalia. Ensuring their rights and access to services is a shared responsibility, and I urged all institutions to facilitate this process.

In my remarks, I emphasized that skills development and employment are key to boosting self-reliance and reducing aid dependency. I extend my gratitude to Amb. Mohamud Abdi Ahmed and the @Igadsecretariat delegation for their invaluable role in making this discussion a reality.

I was delighted to open the Somalia National Consultation on the Kampala Declaration in Mogadishu today. This important gathering, organized by FGS partners & @IGADsecretariat, focused on strengthening job creation and self-reliance for refugees, returnees, and host communities.
