A decade later I find these videos offer a window into better times in the scene. When it was about playing in person, legends of that time a top player entered your local/regional, and optimism about the future of a game that was left for dead not long ago.

The series is simple edits of gameplay interspersed with clips of Hax that showed his humor and love for the game. Over the course of the three videos, you’ll notice a higher proportion of clips from locals as he battled back from surgery and relearning melee on the boxx.
