With a 99% success rate over about 20 hours of live demos, Digit still took a couple of falls at ProMat.
We have no proof, but we think our sales team orchestrated it so they could talk about Digits quick-change limbs and durability.

Outdoor endurance testing of Digit. v1 runs for up to 3 hours when walking, up to 8 hours of standing around. Future versions will likely have slightly reduced runtime due to dramatically increased computational capacity.
Digit can handle uneven and unstable terrain thanks to the combination of advanced software and hardware, built on a foundation of scientific breakthroughs.

Fully autonomous indoor waypoint nav and obstacle avoidance without markers. Waypoints are defined relative to the global reference frame. No pre-mapping.
It's a Friday in 2020, and while a skipping robot might not solve any actual problems, hopefully it puts a smile on your face. Learned policy control of gaits from Oregon State University with Agility hardware support. Full presentation at

Meet Digit, the newest member of the Agility Robotics family. Digit adds 4-DOF arms and a sensor suite, to list just a few of the new features. Available Q1 2020.
Day two recap. We will be streaming live again tomorrow from B9602 at

☑ Continuous work for 8+ hours
☑ 1,200+ totes moved
☑ 10k+ pounds of goods moved
☑ 9.4 total miles walked
☑ Average cycle time at 38s
A few new features of Digit: tablet controller, soft start, soft shutdown. No safety tether; ethernet is hooked up for debug, but the tablet is wireless.
Fully autonomous "goto" behavior given start and end waypoints. Combines SLAM against a prior map, dynamic obstacle detection and avoidance, and dynamic path planning.
Digit v2 specs: 15+ kg load capacity, 4 RealSense cameras, Velodyne lidar, 2 i7-9850HE CPUs for controls and vision, payload bay for NUC or Jetson (with power+ethernet), 1.2 kWh battery approved for international air shipment.
We're pleased to announce that Digit is shipping on time at the end of this month, with
@Ford
as the launch customer. This is the *very first* power up test in Jan of the production HW. As our CTO says, "Brand new, and not loud"! Congrats to the entire team.
We join other leaders in the robotics industry in pledging that we will not weaponize any of the robots or software that we develop.

Digit has a brand new sim environment and spent some time reinforcement-learning how to jump. The sim has been alpha-released to early customers, general release rolling out later this month with the first hardware deliveries.
A short demo of Digit v2, and since
@BotJunkie
asked, a bit of robot karate kid at the end. Arm motions at 0:41+ are managed by whole-body balance control.
It's an incredible honor to be named Robot of the Year by
@therobotreport
. It's extra meaningful coming from a team that knows the industry inside and out.
The
