At this point I am positive that my substrate is leeching into my water column and causing bacteria/algae blooms because of excess nutrients. I have a uv sterilizer coming to see if that works, but I will probably have to break the tank down and redo my substrate.

3 months in. I just got back from a 1 month vacation. Algae got out of control, which was expected. Seeing great growth on the swords, and ok growth on everything else. Just did a huge water change after grabbing clumps of algae.
