Also if anyone feels like this was directed at them, it’s not, I truly don’t remember which individuals have done this and don’t hold any ill will. It’s just that it happened twice in the last week and I’ve had enough.

Anyway, several fursuits that were on payment plans have been backed out on and I will be relisting them tomorrow. Plus two new ones. So keep an eye out lol.

And I recognize that part of this is that I’m too trusting and too quick to refund those “nonrefundable” deposits and I need to stick to my guns more. But I don’t want to be so cynical that I’m unwilling to refund someone in an emergency in case they might be lying!.

Not to mention, it takes time and money to list something back up for sale that I thought I had sold!! Im sorry to be cringe and complain, and I’ll probably delete this later, but I just want people to think a little before they do this kind of thing.

To tell someone who has an unsteady paycheck that they’re going to get paid this week, and then back out, isn’t fair. I know I’m a freelance artist and uncertainty comes with the job, and I’m lucky enough to have savings to fall back on, but please think twice before committing -.

fursuit a few days later. And sooo many instances of people saying they’re going to buy something and then ghosting me when I send the invoice, or guilting me into refunding their nonrefundable deposit. This happens more than a payment plan actually working out.

Last year, someone started a payment plan, then told me their pet had to go to the ER and they needed to back out. I refunded their deposit too because I truly thought their pet was sick, because who would lie about something like that? Only to find out that they got a different.

I am an overly trusting person and it has been a problem for me. I want to offer payment plans but the amount of people who start them and either lie to get out of them or just back out (this is with a deposit btw!!) makes me want to just stop offering them at all.

I really love the fabricating costumes part of my job but, man, I’m so burnt out on dealing with people. Please be nice to artists and don’t say you’re going to buy something if you won’t follow through, it might not mean much to you but can hurt us if we were expecting a sale ):.
