@HaringeyEduc look at THIS! So, we know the #HEPScience curriculum is great. ๐ The Year 1 perfume making lesson is ๐ But what the teachers and pupils do with our curriculum is ๐คฏ ๐ญ I don't even know which part is my favourite.
As part of our โPark Explorersโ unit in Science, Year 1 learnt about the different parts of a flower ๐ธ They loved making perfume potions with the different flowers they had learnt about ๐บ @MabLanePri @advisoryscience @MissFlynnMLP @MissMyersMLP

Fantastic work, Year 4! ๐ถ๐ฌ I can hear those classroom-made harmonicas in action, and they demonstrate vibration and sound beautifully. What a great way to bring #HEPScience to life with hands-on learning! Well done, everyone! ๐๐ต #PrimaryScience #Year4sound.
Y4๐ have been busy creating their very own harmonicas this afternoon. We made this model to demonstrate how vibration creates sound ๐ The children did well to listen to the instructions carefully and definitely enjoyed creating sound with them๐๐@MabLanePri @advisoryscience

Brilliant to see Year 6 at @PaduaLiverpool using #HEPScience resources to explore how plants and animals adapt to their surroundings! ๐๐ฆ The discussions and hands-on sorting activities look fantasticโgreat work, everyone! ๐ฌ๐ #BritishScienceWeek #PrimaryScience.
For British science week, Year 6 investigated how plants and animals change and adapt to their surroundings to survive. @advisoryscience

A huge thank you to all the schools sharing their brilliant science investigations using the curriculum resources! ๐งช๐ Seeing pupils engaged in hands-on learning, enquiry, and scientific thinking is exactly why this work matters. Keep sharing! 'LET'S GO, 2025!'๐ ๐ซ#HEPScience

Their laughter is contagious! ๐คฉ Love seeing Year 3 light up with excitement as they see their pupils change size. This is what science should beโreal, memorable, and full of wonder! ๐โจ What a wonderful sight! Thanks so much! #HEPScience.
This was year 3โs reaction when they saw their pupil size change when they went from dim light to bright light! We have learnt about why this happens and how we can protect our eyes ๐๐ @MabLanePri @advisoryscience @MissNelsonMLP

Fantastic to see pupils exploring sound through vibrations and waves! ๐ Using models like cup phones and simple instruments makes abstract concepts tangibleโhelping them see (and hear!) science in action. Brilliant investigation! ๐ถ #HEPScience.
In our past two science lessons we have learned how sounds are created and how sound travels. We have made our own instruments to model how vibrations create sound and have created cup phones to investigate travelling sounds! ๐๐ข @MabLanePri @advisoryscience

This model is NOT easy to construct. Fabulous! But so worth it - just look at this investigation being brought to life! ๐คฉ Connecting sound waves to real-world models makes abstract concepts LOUD and clear. Thanks for the GREAT share!๐ถ #HEPScience.
Today we have learned all about the structure of our ears! We created a model as a class and linked what we know about how sound travels to explain how the water rippled! @MabLanePri @MissNelsonMLP @advisoryscience ๐๐๐ฅ

This investigation is all about testing, questioning, and applying forces in a practical but enjoyable wayโgreat to see pupils fully engaged in real scientific thinking! โก #HEPScience.
In science today, Year 5 were investigating how oil and salt affected the friction of jelly cubes. We had so much fun transferring the jelly cubes from one bowl to another using two pencils as chopsticks. @advisoryscience

Brilliant to see this investigation in action! Understanding life cycles through hands-on sequencing helps pupils grasp biological patterns in a meaningful way. ๐ฃ๐ Thanks for this great share! #HEPScience.
What came first the chicken or the egg? We loved creating the life cycle of a chicken in todayโs science lesson! @MabLanePri @advisoryscience

Love seeing Year 6 so engaged in their research! ๐ Investigating animal adaptations like this helps them think like scientistsโgathering evidence, making connections, and explaining the โwhyโ behind survival. Brilliant work! ๐ฆ๐ #HEPScience.
Year 6 were taking their research into animal adaptations very seriously morning! Great to see them all so focussed and gathering their ideas for their writing!

Brilliant to see pupils using precise scientific vocabulary while investigating how materials interact with light! Describing observations with terms like transparent, translucent, and opaque deepens understanding and builds scientific confidence. ๐ฆ #HEPScience.
Year 3 Blue investigated which objects allowed all, some or no light through. They then used scientific vocabulary to classify the materials as transparent, translucent or opaque. ๐ฆ๐ก.@MabLanePri @MissNelsonMLP @advisoryscience

This investigation gives pupils a real, hands-on way to see how sound travels. Fantastic to see it being used so effectively! ๐ #HEPScience.
In todayโs science lesson, we explored sound with the classic string and cup model๐ถ๐ Y4๐ really enjoyed experimenting with vibrations and learning about how sound travels๐ @MabLanePri @advisoryscience

Science is about testing, observing, and refining ideas right from an early age โthis investigation captures it perfectly! ๐ Such a great way to make science real for pupils using everyday materials. #HEPScience THIS level of focus though. โจThanks so much for sharing!
In Science Year 1 have been learning about โEveryday Materialsโ. Today they investigated โwaterproofโ and โabsorbentโ @MabLanePri @advisoryscience
