Fucked around and became the woman I look up to.

People cannot wait to support me. I’m loved behind closed doors. People want the best for me. My connections are wide and help sustain me.

Forgiveness does not require amnesia.

Healing hurts.

There is nothing left to prove.

As I enter the portal, I’m proud to be the woman who turned survival into beauty without lying about the cost. It cost me everything.

My body is where my Ancestors unfinished prayers landed.

My Ancestors waited for me. Danced for me. Laid in pain for me. Prayed for me. Asked for me. Dreamt me up. Gave birth to many before me just so I could arrive and heal what they couldn’t. It’s not about a cure. But living long life in spite of. Some will simply never understand.

I have to keep reminding myself in this season: Illness does not create abandonment. It exposes who can stay when things are no longer convenient, light, or fantasy based.

Vulnerability is an incredible strength that many do not possess. I’m proud of what life has done to me.

Softness can and will survive.

One thing I’ve had to truly learn over the years is being someone’s safe place does not mean forfeiting your own boundaries.

I am no longer willing to sit on the floor while others eat.

Things I’m done being: the strong one the quiet one the self-reliant one the one who doesn’t ask for anything the one who minimizes her needs the one who absorbs stress the one who carries her illness alone Completely done.

I am a woman of dual worlds. Fire and Water. Steel and silk. Warrior and priestess. Anger and tenderness. Boundary and softness.

My takeaway from Diddy's documentary is that the most dangerous person you will ever meet is an insecure man.

I’m the healing they waited for.

You shine. You’re warm. You make people feel safe, even when you don’t feel safe yourself. Those who aren’t built right get blinded by that kind of light.

I am so grateful to God for the things that didn’t work out.

Love is not about perfection. It’s about presence.
