I'm happy/pleased/relieved/exhausted to announce that my first solo book has been published this month, and is being distributed from the US and UK. The book tells the story of the love/hate relationship of the Philippine middle class with democratic politics. 1/

Democracy in the Philippines is vibrant, but political violence is deeply embedded in its political logic, dating back to the American colonial period. Our very own @adelehwebb @UniCanberra talks to ABC to make sense of troubling developments in the πŸ‡΅πŸ‡. https://t.co/r8mj5KUbk9

Political violence is a story that dates back decades, if not a century, in the Philippines. @adelehwebb offers a thoughtful, historically-situated analysis of political violence in the Philippines. https://t.co/tvdgKjaCQv
