Perpetual license question: what happens when there's a bug which breaks everything, but you no longer get updates (let's say expired a month ago)? Do you really have to pay again, even when the version "you can use forever" isn't working?

Fired my accountant because they weren't doing enough to justify their fee and were leaving submissions until right before deadlines. Bookkeeping made their life much easier (manage more clients), but they're still lazy and have to be chased all the time. Make it make sense π€·ββοΈ
