New article out w/ @tanu_kumar1 on patchwork formalization, private land developers, and public service provision at the edges of India's cities. ā¬ļø @JDevStudies.
New paper with @adam_m_auerbach in JDS. Exploration of how cities expand outwards--it's often a citizen-led phenomenon, where people just buy up agricultural land and build on it. Can create problems for getting access to services, but citizens are also creative problem-solvers!
