Can someone please pass the Swachh Bharat memo to BBMP; Bangalore is filthy, and its normalisation is sickening.

Fittingly, the logo is inspired by Jagadish Chandra Bose: the Bengal Renaissance physicist who proved that plants feel, matter pulses with life, & listening is a form of science. A science colloquium as curious as the cosmos. If you want to attend a session, leave a comment

Named after the Bengali term for speculative science fiction, Kalpa Vigyan honors a rich South Asian tradition of imagining our future through science. It’s where engineers & storytellers meet geochemists, climate modelers, and planetary thinkers; diving into the poetry of Co2.

🌱 Kalpa Vigyan: @AltCarbonIndia's internal science colloquium. As a deeptech science and data company reimagining carbon removal from first principles, we know that climate innovation must stand on the shoulders of scientific curiosity.

A 'soft culture' metric to gauge a candidate:. They talk in actionables;.1. "Let's chat - here are my available time slots/calendly link". 2. Promptly send calendar invites, reduce friction for a call. 3. Ask for reading material apart from website links etc before a call.

We lost the tech war. We lost the EV race. We fell behind in manufacturing. We CANNOT AFFORD to lose the climate transition. Not when we have this much in our favor.

The enforcing and structuring of the ICM really sets the cadence on how we think of climate action, and whether we can lead the charge and show the world how to fight climate change.

We have two phases to watch out: . 1. Phase 1 (2023–2025): Voluntary market being streamlined (this is for any org to participate, nothing enforced). 2. Phase 2 (2025 onwards): Gradual transition to compliance market (mandatory Co2 reductions from companies as prescribed by law).

This land is not just a legacy of our economy. It is the infrastructure for our future. It reinvents the economic and environmental narrative of rural India.

Between biochar, renewable energy, waste management & ERW, we can trap vast amounts of Co2. Solutions like biochar and ERW have twin, natural benefits and can be incredibly lucrative to improve livelihoods of the marginalised, Air Quality Index, and unlock new revenue streams.

And with India, there always is a frustrating, “BUT”… . We have to vociferously advocate for policy. A reckoner: Because India is largely agrarian dependent, we can turn these vast tracts of lands into carbon sinks.

🌾 #09 Climate 101 — India’s next big bet is…dirt. 🏞️. Nearly 60% of land in India is agrarian. This presents the most compelling climate abundance strategy we can architect to reverse climate change. India, can, and hopefully will, champion climate action for the world. But…

It's funny how AI works: it's really levelled the playing field for more participants to 'create content', but it has tacitly outed the ones who over-index their reliance on quantity, instead of using AI tools as a sounding board to level-up quality.
