@Readybrother Might need a follow to do that, though. 😬

A order on @SaltandSundry just tipped Shopify over the 1 trillion(!) in cumulative GMV. Monumental milestone for us. A beautiful small business run by Amanda McClemens in DC. Couldn't have been a better example of what makes Shopify special:

And since I work for Shopify … why not go all in? When they’re gone, they’re gone. 😆 https://t.co/6nZTemtr8M

“Make the change easy then make the easy change” is still my favourite piece of advice. I really wanted a nice print of it. So I worked with a designer, got it printed, and now it hangs in the kitchen. It’s fun making things.

Good news, although embarrassing it’s not already a thing. While the boys get extra football, my 11yo daughter gets to dance. She may as well wear a pink bomber jacket while the boys wear black leather ones.
Girls will be granted equal access to all school sport as part of a package of measures unveiled by the government to coincide with International Women's Day. #IWD2023 #EmbraceEquity

No doubt that I’ll get fined for not paying the tax I did and yet didn’t have to pay. But on logging in to pay the fine, I’ll have paid the fine so have no fine to pay.

I have a letter from HMRC saying I have underpaid my tax. I log in to HMRC to pay my tax, and it says I have paid the correct amount of tax so I have nothing to pay. 🙃

I treated myself to the Bright Eyes Christmas album on vinyl. Perfect for the festive season. Ordered it 27th Nov. It arrived today. 🥴

HNY! What’s the easiest way to deploy a hobby Rails app these days? I’m outta practice. 🥴

Safety pins for costumes and matchsticks for my eyelids. Prop me up with coffee, and sing us one of those good songs that refills the enthusiasm in my soul.

My YouTube-is-the-centre-of-everything 7yo daughter looks over my shoulder as I scroll through Twitter and asks, confused, “Why are you reading the comments?”

Just finished Landscapers. A crime drama like no other. Full of wit and wonder. Recommended.

Not in a "I'm going to run a marathon" way. Just a "I want to go for a run" way. Like as a kid, Wimbledon made we want to go outside and play tennis, and the darts at Christmas would make we want a dartboard. It all felt, well ... fun. Rather than a burden to avoid a belly.

So yesterday I went to cheer on my daughter as she ran the 1.5k at Framlingham and my sis-in-law in the 10k. Unexpectedly bumped into my cousin also doing the 10k. Didn't have him down as a runner, but he'd started in lockdown. Anyway. The whole event inspired me.

Cool upside to working for a transatlantic startup is I now have a bunch of US colleagues and some fantasy football of the gridiron variety. Draft is tomorrow. I have no idea how such a thing works. Tips please!
