Book [12/30] — The Devils — Joe Abercrombie — [A+]. Filled with Joe Abercrombie’s trademark witty writing and strong character work despite the basic plot line. It mixes in strong themes and is paced perfectly. Great action and humor. Hard to put down.

Show [3/30] — Cobra Kai — Season 6 — [A-] . Gets a bit repetitive and has a lot of forced drama in plot lines in the middle. But it has one of the strongest and most satisfying endings ever for a show. The last five episodes are pretty much perfect.

Show [2/30] — Apple Cider Vinegar — [A-]. Strong performances from the entire cast, but most especially from Kaitlyn Dever, who is magnetic as Belle Gibson. Manages to somehow be a pretty fun dark comedy while also being absolutely tragic.

Show [1/30] — Warrior — Season 3 — [B+]. It’s a shame the show got cancelled after this season because this is definitely the best season so far. Takes characters and the story in bold new directions and maintains the action that made the show so great.

Book [11/30] — Sunrise on the Reaping — Suzanne Collins — [C+]. Strong themes of propaganda and what is considered the truth, and has some genuinely impactful moments. The actual games and numerous important plot beats feel rushed and undercooked. Needed 10 to 15 more chapters.
